after lunch we set off for our first show of the day, which was a gorilla vs bear showcase with nite jewel at quacks bakery. they where running 2 hrs behind. we couldn't hang around as we had another show straight after this one across town, so we decided to ditch it and head to the second show. it's good to play as much as possible, but if one showcase is running late, then your whole sechedule gets knocked out.
the second show was a kinda round robin event for this shoe company called saucony. 4 outdoor stages and 4 bands all taking it in turns to play back to back - they called it FOUR SQUARE PUNKS. in the middle there was a roller skating ring. it's so nice playing shows outside. we haven't played a show inside yet.
we got free shoes:
after this show we went over to see mika miko. we sat in the sun and caught up with HEALTH and the vivian girls. after an hr of this me and robin went to get pizza and headed over to see finally punk play at this club next door to our apartment. elizabeth finally punk asked if we wanted to go and see devo - we did.
she drove us in her mum and dads car. it was at the austin music hall.
devo were amazing.
after devo we went to get donuts at ken's 24 hr donut place and then elizabeth took us to the bridge party. this was basically an illegal party on a bridge in a big park. it was amazing.
annihilation time played first!
HUGE circle pit. the whole bridge was bouncing.
vivian girls were up next. they had the best time, apart from ali who has a bridge phobia.
trash talk played last and things really went insane.

once we got off the bridge elizabeth bought us tacos.
and then took us up to mt. bonnell. it was so beautiful. elizabeth is the best.
at 6am we all went home.
best day ever....
