american movie

when i worked at reckless records on upper st about 4 / 5 years ago now, my friend nathan had a vhs of this film called "american movie". i had never heard of it - he told me that i HAD to see it. i borrowed it and got it copied because it is the most incredible movie EVER.

it's basically a documentary about a milwaukee filmmaker called mark borchardt. the film follows him as he feverishly works to finish his independent horror film, but slides into a downward spiral of poor financing and lack of planning - it comes across as a spoof, but it's 100% genuine.

i've got it on vhs and dvd - borrow it from me, i want to share the wealth.
